Diya Mirza born on 9th December 1982 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Her father was a German Interior Designer Frank Handrich and her mother is a Bengali, Deepa. Diya's parents divorced when she was six years old. She completed her schooling at Hyderabad. She graduated from modeling into Bollywood with a crown perched on her pretty head.

Diya was placed as second runner up at the Femina Miss India 2000 and represented India and won the title of Miss Asia Pacific in 2000.

Diya Mirza first movie debut with her debut Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, that was a remake of the Tamil Hit Movie Minnale. She had many successful movies in her movie carrier.
